If you love fruity desserts but want something lighter, I think you will enjoy this cottage cheese protein no-bake mango cheesecake.
Traditional cheesecakes can feel very heavy, but blending cottage cheese completely changes the texture. It creates a silky, smooth filling that stays light and creamy.

Using cottage cheese also makes this recipe high protein. You get all the rich dessert flavor while getting a good amount of protein in every slice.
The sweet mango layer on top pairs wonderfully with the fresh citrus notes in the crust and filling.
Best of all, you do not even need to turn on your oven. You just blend the ingredients, let the pan chill in the fridge, and it is ready to serve.
Why I Love This Recipe

How to Make This Recipe
Step 1
Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment. Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, lime zest and melted butter, press firmly into the bottom of the pan and chill while you make the filling.
Step 2
Blend the cottage cheese in a food processor or blender for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping down the sides, until completely silky. Add the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, mango puree, honey, lime juice and vanilla and blend until smooth.
Step 3
Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes, then microwave for 10 to 15 seconds until fully liquid. Whisk 1/2 cup of the filling into the gelatin, then pour it back into the blender with the motor running and blend for 15 seconds.
Step 4
Pour the filling over the crust, smooth the top and refrigerate for about 1 1/2 hours, until the surface is set.
Step 5
For the topping, bloom the gelatin in the cold water for 5 minutes. Heat 1/4 cup of the mango puree with the honey until hot, stir in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved, then stir it into the remaining mango puree.
Let it cool to room temperature so it does not melt the filling.
Step 6
Gently pour the mango topping over the set cheesecake and tilt the pan to spread it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Step 7
Run a thin spatula around the edge, release the springform ring and top with diced fresh mango before serving.

Quick Tips
Blend the Cottage Cheese First
I recommend blending the cottage cheese completely on its own before you add any other ingredients. Cottage cheese has small curds that need direct contact with the blades to turn completely silky.
If you dump everything in at once, the extra liquid prevents those curds from breaking down properly. Taking the extra two minutes here gives you that classic smooth texture.
Using both cottage cheese and Greek yogurt gives this dessert a great protein boost while keeping the filling light and fluffy.
Temper the Gelatin Carefully
From my experience, pouring hot gelatin straight into a cold blender is a quick way to create lumps. The sudden temperature drop makes the gelatin seize up into tiny, rubbery bits that will not blend smooth.

Always stir a few spoonfuls of the blended filling directly into your melted gelatin first. This balances out the temperature so it mixes evenly into the rest of the cheesecake.
Bring Your Dairy to Room Temperature
Make sure your cottage cheese, cream cheese, and yogurt sit on the counter for about an hour before you start. Cold dairy straight from the fridge makes melted gelatin firm up before it is fully mixed.
Room-temperature ingredients also whip together much faster and yield a much creamier final texture.

Quick Answers
Can I use canned mango pulp instead of fresh mango puree?
Yes, canned mango pulp works wonderfully and saves you prep time. Varieties like Alphonso or Kesar give a rich flavor and vibrant color.
Just check the can for added sugars, as you may want to slightly reduce the honey in the filling to keep the sweetness balanced.
